Signing up to your employer’s pension may not be at the top of your list of priorities. But thanks to automatic enrolment, it doesn’t have to be. If you’re aged between 22 and state pension age, and earn more than £10,000, you’re likely to be signed up to your employer’s pension scheme. How does automatic enrolment work and, as the amounts you pay into your pension have just increased, should you stay in the scheme? Sarah talks to Alistair McQueen, who’s head of savings and retirement at pensions and insurance provider Aviva. The SavvyWoman Podcast is sponsored by Addidi, which is a financial planning service for women.
